Most robots are programmed one motion at a time. MR-1 watches a person do the job a few times, then practises it on its own.

In this note we show how four short demonstrations were enough to teach a new packing task, and where the method still fails.

The short version: it learns fast when the task is clear, and slowly when the goal is vague.
